Telling someone to die mad about it is not the same as wishing them dead. On the contrary, I want them to live a very, very long life. I want them to still be fuming when they're 100 years old. Many unhappy returns, motherfucker.

I want it to be the first thing they think about upon waking and the last thing they think about before falling into a fitful sleep. I want it to haunt them every hour of every day. That’s what I mean when I tell someone to die mad about it.
I, on the other hand, just want them to drop and rot.
This means, drop dead in their tracks and rot where they fall because I do not want to give them enough further thought to go to the bother of kicking their carcass out of the road.
As a Twain character who had been wronged by a town’s snooty self-righteous citizens said: “Any other man would have been content to kill a few of you & call it even; but made as I am, that would not satisfy, for the dead do not SUFFER.”
