Any computer nerd/programming geek knows if the actual date is unknown, this version of COBOL defaults to 0 as a placeholder, which in this version of COBOL equates to May 20, 1875. Why?

The epoch year for this version of COBOL is 150 years ago that was recently referenced, hence the year 1875. 🙄
