I'm pretty convinced they want US/Russia on one side of this WW3 with China/EU on the other.

If the US conquers Canada, it will have eastly land and sea trade routes to Russia, while China/EU/Brazil will need either the Panama Canal or Middle East, which will be hard for them to hold.

It seems clear he doesn't want that. What he doesn't understand is that there's no such thing as "interest vacuum" - where the US is not present as a crucial, needed partner, there will be someone else. The ecosystem just reconfigures itself, others step up.

So where could the US still have influence? Last bastions seem to be Europe, South Korea / Japan / Taiwan, and Israel. None of them are going in a great direction for them. Sooner you know, trade suffers, then economy, then military posture.

2/ "protect" the local trade for a fee. But now they are incentivized to find reasons to protect. This will enable industries to build from this. All at the cost to every global economy, especially the US. This will give places like china a reason to encroach.

The wars come after when the US loses the ability to protect its food exports and food prices globally skyrocket.... (we are the #1 exporter of food, and our net exports exceed all others combined)
