It’s 67 for me now, but debate about moving that to 68. If it does increase, so be it. Clearly I would not like that, but the Gov need to take inter-generational fairness into account. Much more difficult for youngsters to buy house, manage student debt etc. glad I’m not in my 20s now!

Why didn't you lobby for mens' retirement at 60? We were contracted at work until 60. We planned for this. We paid our 40 years NI. We paid our taxes. The ombudsman agreed compensation should be paid. I lost £40,000+. I only had 2 years retirement with my husband before he died.

All women of my generation were told their retirement age was 60, in contracts of employment. Some were told in 2011 of changes to 66 only 4 years before. Most of us had plans in place to retire. I did due to my older husband's ill health. I lost that time with him because I had to work.
