I think everything online has been used to train AI. I’m sure they’re betting everyone will just shrug and give up as it being a ‘too big to solve now’ problem, coz at this point they’re right unless the law insists they scrap it all and start again, with explicit consent this time.

For the latest revision of my online portfolio about a month or so ago I purged all old files, Glazed all images I could, aiming for a tolerable balance between protection and aspect, and inserted all AI blocking directives I could find server-wise. I only upload Glazed images online since then.

AI advocates keep arguing that there isn't enough data to train without stealing, or that "it was in the TOS"

I find it hard to believe that either is defensible

I can say for research (that won't be sold or made public) it's fine, but then they should start over when they productize/publicize AI
