Trump was never joking about this bc his handler Putin knows what he wants & how to create divisions.
But then the question of how a big country with 57k people can maintain sovereignty. They don't want to be under Trump.
They could join #EFTA, like Iceland, Norway, Switzerland. Or #NAFTA. Or EU, but then they'd be ⅒ of today's smallest nation, Malta.

That does not give Denmark the right to sell Greenland, or independent Greenland to sell themselves. But they could choose their association. Seems they'd prefer EU.
