"Horror is wet but not juicy" is great, I would generally agree with but I do think there's a subset of horror (like Terrifier or old slasher sequels) that focus on a kind of "juicy" if I'm understanding the statement right. Imo I do think "wet > juice" is often very correct here.
I've thought this for a while but I think that for a lot of people, FromSoft games may be the first time they felt a sense of self-determination through failure for themselves and that may be why it gets to deeply rooted for them. Not sure though.
