I just attended a sold out screening of NO OTHER LAND and something I’ve never experienced happened. After the film, no one spoke. Every single person remained silent. All the way to the exit. If that interests you, see this film. It is truly a miracle that it exists. @belcourttheatre.bsky.social

Dead silence walking out. It was ... i can't even think of a descriptor.
I have twice been in a cinema (to see the same film) when the audience has left in complete silence, that was for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
I saw “Fahrenheit 911”. The audience was stunned. Then we clapped. Many of us cried too.

Stunned
Lost in that audio
It's completely outrageous.
Both parties is the sad truth
For your readers (and me, I didn't follow movies or Oscars this year), I hope you don't mind me appending...
That said, I hope screenings of No Other Land broaden to more locations througout the US.
Later , Hotel Rwanda did it at a screening I went to
Of course our Conservatives thought it was a holiday programme 🙄
Dictatorship never again ! The ex-president who attempted a coup was convicted and is waiting to be sentenced any day. Brazilians want jail and no anisty or asylum.🇧🇷
Human beings are truly monstrous.
But thanks for posting the info. Now those in capital cities know where to see it - and I sincerely hope they do 👍😁
Now where I get on a block list:
The Palestinian people are raging homophobes and would kill me just for being me. Not my fight.
In my OPINION (see: not objective fact) it's because they never intended to do anything they just really enjoy the feelings that human tragedy gives them.
It's like watching fail videos there's a kind of visceral reaction we experience when we see someone else hurt.
What exactly are_YOU_doing_to_stop_it?
Eh?
Actually in the world I live , this current genocide saw the biggest worldwide protests in history.
