BO previously stated that recovering the booster was 'a stretch goal but we're gonna go for it'. They made orbit on the 1st try and that was their criteria for success.
Starship blew up after 7 flights and has yet to reach orbit.
Starship could've made orbit with a half sec longer burn but they're using a course that reenters on the first orbit until they master engine relights so they can do deorbit burns.
Also, SpaceX tried 8 times before they stuck a landing, I wasn't expecting much from BO but they've landed New Shepard.
Yeah, SpaceX actually made a 'blooper reel' of all their failed attempts at recovering a Falcon 9 1st stage. They finally got it right, but those were also their rockets
I'm with you on orbital issue, it's just that SpaceX has thrown shade at BO before about not reaching it so there's that.
