One day my boss came by my office and asked where one of my coworkers was. "He's working from home today." "Oh? I've been chatting with him on Messenger all day and just assumed he was here."
After that, there was no more pushback on remote work. :)

I work for a global company with employees in 5 countries and 6 timezones, but somehow only the employees based within driving distance of our Waterloo, Ontario office are unable work productively remotely and must go to the office... 🙄
