Guillermina's been a farm worker for 20+ years laboring in various CA crops.
I'm a farm worker from Delano, CA. I invite you to join me and thousands of others in celebrating the legacy of César Chávez starting at Delano's Memorial Park. Join us. Sí Se Puede!

I join you in heart to honor Cesar Chavez.
You Feed Us ❣️
Coming through this year, I stopped at the memorial to remind myself of commitment and solidarity.
When I was in grade school, my mom took us to walk Teamster picket lines at the local grocery store to boycott CA grapes and support UFW and Chavez. An education!
He didn’t bring food to the USA.
What he did was to organizer the farm workers in a union.
I don’t think anybody thinks he brought the USA food

“All of a sudden yesterday morning, they brought in 220 w*tbacks – these are the illegals from Mexico,” Chávez said in an interview with KQED in the ‘70s. “There’s no way to defend against that kind of strikebreaking.”
Was the slogan “Yes we can, aye”?
😆
This is a big way Americans suck. We don't understand what it takes to put food on our table, and we have no respect for the people who work so hard to make it happen. If we did, the immigration conversation would be very different.
Or the workers stay home, and others post online to show their support?
There will be a lot to clean up after DeSantis though.
