I’m on EBT, “healthy” restaurants don’t take EBT but fast food places do. I also use to do Ubereats in west LA, and you know who loves McDonald’s? Rich people in the Hollywood Hills, they were constantly ordering it.

My family was on food stamps back in the early 80s when my parents were laid off. Months of red tape before we received assistance. I still remember the taste of the first hostess cupcake after we finally had food in the house. Few things in life motivated me more to go sto school & work hard.

Wtf? Food stamps made me eat LESS junk food and improved my diet drastically. Why? Because I wasn’t constantly trying to save money by buying the cheapest crap I could stomach. I don’t think I’d be alive today if it weren’t for food stamps. I’d have out myself out of my misery.

A lot of poor ppl live in food deserts, where the only food nearby is what's at the corner market. And they can't drive bc they don't have a car, or the gas money.

They don't want poor people enjoying themselves, and mask this under a concern for their health and healthcare costs.
