An hour and a half writing an email to press ESC and vanish without saving the draft?

To prevent this kind of things, I usually write emails and complex WhatsApp messages in the NotePad or Tot and then copy/paste the final text to email/WA.
Bonus: this also helps to avoid hitting “send” by mistake before finishing the message
