remember: this is in response to lots of players asking for harry potter quotes to be removed from an archipelago, then calling those players political because they support trans rights.

The response sucked. Unfortunately, the moderator in question seems to have a mouth on them and “opinions”. Thankfully, as far as I know, they aren’t a developer of anything so are easily removed. It seems like that is going to be the case from what I’m hearing.

does anyone know of any alternatives? i can't think of any cross game randomisers that made things quite so easy, and its the kind of thing id love to be doing again, but im not comfortable supporting archipelago after this.

It's a bit more limited in scope and afaik doesn't have the same kind of beta game scene that AP has, but https://randovania.org exists. RV also doesn't have a stick up their ass when it comes to AM2R

as far as I'm aware, there isn't. Archi is fairly easy to build on, but unfortunately that means they've kind of sucked up all the air in the room. Theres limited ones like SMZ3, but no large multi-game randomizers like archipelago, as far as I'm aware. Certainly not one with the same num of games.

The community is really bad, I brought up that someone organizing games was a known stalker and abuser in the randomizer community(with a legal retraining order placed on them) and their response was " we don't police based on other community activities"

I stopped participating in the discord.

I thankfully think the main dev is just a guy who maintains the website and haven't seen anything suspect out of behemoth other then his stubbornness to have people hellp him on the site it's self so I'm not sure if I'll stop using it for community stuff i do. Unless theirs an alternative?

I have seen a few people use other sites that mimic the ap mainsite since it is open source and all, but I don't think anyone has reworked all of AP yet? Might be wrong here. Also every site I've seen was invite only basically.
