I have a question about not using credit or debit cards for nonessential purchases. Is it okay to still take cash out of the bank for whatever you wanna pay for?
Nice idea but they’ll just use the time to do inventory. We should be boycotting them every day. Dump the big outlets in favour of the local mom and pop.
Thanks and you're absolutely right, that's why I try not to spend money every single day and I'm generally a very cautious shopper as well. Not saying I'm perfect but I do try my best. 😉
Good news is Walmart expects its profit to be lower this year in anticipation of rising inflation and tariffs, thanks to Trump. In fact their demise, Republican demise are all thanks to Trump. If we don’t stop Trump asap, it will be the demise of the USA.
***On March 4th, Agent orange is scheduled to address the joint session of congress at 9PM *** WE NEED PEOPLE TO HEAD TO OUR NATIONS CAPITOL on this day. This is a Call for Action. RTO in advance, we need a MASS of bodies to make our presence known and FELT.
Oh hell yes I am gonna withhold my dollars that day and any other time I can do so as part of a big protest. Or I can go without. I can shop before or after but they have to know we mean business. If we do it, they can hear us. They are "voter deaf," they only hear donors not voters.
It will work people. Bezos is already complaining that Amazon sales are down. Everyone, our power is in our spending. Boycott and take back your power.
Yup! Also trying to buy more locally as I realize what I need can be obtained as needed but I also shared this on FB to hopefully persuade my friends who aren’t as politically attuned to a small gesture they can do without fanfare to dip their toes into the resistance!
I am starting Thursday the 27th when I go to bed at 10 pm and ending Monday, March 3rd, when I wake up at 6 am. Unless it is medically related or to bail someone out of jail for resistance. I always have been an over-achiever.
I'm in. Decades from now when my grandchildren ask what I did to support the resistance I want to be able to jold my head high and proudly say, "I didn't go shopping for an entire day."

ECONOMIC BOYCOTT

Canadians have been doing an economic blackout on American businesses for weeks and it will continue indefinitely. It doesn’t seem like a big sacrifice for Americans to do it for one day. How about making this one day per month?
You need to do this every single day. You are going to need the money you save by not buying stuff you don't absolutely need, as well as, sending a message to the corporations supporting the coup.
Canadians didn't wait to boycott American products. Our stores got the message immediately.
Just do it
Yes. My husband and I are retired, so I'll do the grocery and other shopping early, and on the 28th we'll stay home and not make any online purchases (I've stopped shopping at Amazon, too).
One day is not enough. Maybe if the one day was Black Friday it would matter, but a random Friday in Feb will not make a difference. Start NOW and continue as long as possible. Buy groceries and other absolute necessities and that’s IT. Join your local Buy Nothing group and thrift as needed.
Peace be upon you all, I am now at the top of my destroyed house now, we have no shelter to live in, there are no necessities for life in the area, no drinking, no food, nothing, everything is ruins, I want to help you for me and my family, may God reward you all the best
I told my boss today that I'll be taking that day off. I will be staying home and intermittently calling my representative and reading the constitution to whatever intern that picks up until they hang up on me.
I'm doing it now. I will give my money to support companies that believe and fight for democracy no to a bunch of idiots that thinks they are the master mind of everything they didn't fight for... Human rights, equality, liberty and more.
They are greedy 🤑🤑🤑💩🔶👎🤮🤡
The deal is to kill the Trump economy entirely. That means a four year blackout on buying. Keep to the necessities. Bills, food, fuel. Nothing else. No luxuries. No vacations. No road trips. No special treats. NOTHING. Nothing at all. KILL the Trump economy. PUNISH the big corps that installed him.
Follow the mindset of MLK. Hit them in their wallets and things could change. BOYCOTT 2/28 and all those Trump supported stores everyday! No Walmart, Target and the list is long. Find alternatives.
It’s marked on my calendar and alarm on. We are also going to not use electricity, water or gas that day. Have planned to stock up on food, fuel and canceled date night dinner. Hubbs is not working this day as well. We will document and report how we did on this day.
If you want to hurt the oligarchs and big business , everyone with a 401 or IRA needs to go to cash on the 27th , the markets will crash within 3 days
Its a $15 trillion move.
Pffttt, I started my economic boycott on Jan 20th immediately after the inauguration. It continues every day until the Dick tator and the Space fetish master are gone. I am only spending for sustenance (shelter, food, utilities, fuel, food). I'll spend on trips to Canada, though.
All kinds of people work for those places, need those jobs, depend on that income.
The monied decision-makers are pretty well insulated. I'm not against the idea, but I'm not yet convinced that its escalation doesn't just add to the suffering.
I've made it a point to go out of my way to avoid these companies. You decided to cut your DEI program because orange Jesus said to? Well then I've decided to not buy shit from you.

You would reach more people, when you add a good description into the Alt-text field.
That is pretty easy, especially, when your image just contain text.
This way, you support visually impaired people and everyone else, who rely on a good filled Alt-text.

I do have concert tickets at a Casino owned by Native Americans. THEY will get my money on the 28th.
I think I’ll sit outside and enjoy my forest and the feral cats. Hoping for sunshine as we’ve had snow for days. Good luck everyone!!!!
I’m so looking forward to see how well we do and how we do as a community. I am asking everyone to do as little as possible on these days.
Its a $15 trillion move.
Focus on Tesla. (Not Tesla owners, please)
