UPDATE — Secretary of State Marco Rubio has now commented on the Trump admin’s detaining & attempted green card revocation of a Columbia Gaza encampment student negotiator:
“We will be revoking the visas and/or green cards of Hamas supporters in America so they can be deported.”

Hopefully not too long. I was reading an account of a German tourist who came in via Mexico who was detained (might still be) because they assumed she was going to break her visa and work while here. No probable cause, no due process, just indefinite detention, then deportation.

They’re just going to call anyone they don’t like (the left) Hamas supporters and then deport/disappear/encamp despite resident or citizen status. It’s Mussolini tactics and I hope it ends similarly for them. And fast.

I have asked myself the question of "Can they DO that?" too often since January, and they answer always seems to be "THEY think they can, and apparently that's all that matters."

Hopefully the courts jump in quickly and shut this down, bc this is a terrible precendence.
