that Trumpers think the US Postal *SERVICE* should be a profit-making enterprise exposes the fallacy in their conception of government

Coinbase says that the SEC has agreed to drop the enforcement case against the company. It only cost them $75 million in political contributions.

"This is in violation of a presidential executive order. It needs to stop" -- Elon Musk, on Hannity's show, makes clear he has no idea how the American government works by asserting that Trump can use executive orders to unilaterally impound funds appropriated by Congress

Putin's birthday isn't even a holiday in Russia

Holy fuck, no!

Patriotism is seeing the best in your country and celebrating it. It's not seeing the worst in other countries and blaming it.

Dear Democratic Party: why are you not screaming this from every rooftop? Why are you not holding press conferences with these poor fired people - putting a face on what the richest man is destroying?

JD Vance has done the unthinkable, making the human race appreciate the intellect of Dan Quayle.

The other crazy thing about this is that it shows that Musk and his entourage *THINK THAT WHAT HE DID AT TWITTER ACTUALLY WORKED* and was a good plan. The levels of delusion are fairly stunning.

The interim US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, a FedSoc member and former Scalia clerk, has done more to publicly expose the corruption of the Trump administration this week at greater personal cost than any elected official I can think of.

So much of the Trump administration's policy endangers the lives of specific groups. So in a way, having RFK Jr. as the Secretary of Health and Human Services is a way of making things more fair because now EVERYONE is more likely to die.

Again, Twitter WON this case (decisively) at the district court level. The 9th Circuit made it clear that Twitter would win on appeal at oral args. And now it decided to just hand over $10 million to Trump. www.cnbc.com/2025/02/12/e...

If the best case Democrats can make to voters against a lawless authoritarian regime that is dismantling our institutions at home and selling out our allies abroad is "but egg prices" then we're totally cooked as a society anyway.

Karen asked to speak to Trump's manager and this weird guy and his kid appeared

It is the position of the administration that a post saying “Free Palestine” or talking about diversity should ruin your life, but a post calling to hate people from India should not. That’s their moral sensibility. Nazi scum.

If the Democratic leadership in Congress does not want to use democracy, we would like to borrow it for a time.

an unelected billionaire storming into US agencies, installing his unqualified and unapproved lackeys, purging civil servants, seizing access to sensitive data and payments, unilaterally eliminating federal agencies: fine identifying the lackeys: illegal

Trumpism operating as intended. www.live5news.com/2025/01/31/s...

I don’t think that’s very clear at all. Trump and his Nazi billionaire friend are trying to destroy government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Anyone still on their side doesn’t want to work with you ever again. And the people who are on your side want you to stand in their way.

Two plane crashes in two days?

Trump is going to have the fanciest presidential library ever when all these bribes / settlements are collected.

@kenwhite.bsky.social I’m worried that Josh is too steeped in the Democratic fiction of “norms” in the age of Trump. His arguments about the Meta settlement seem that way to me.

@kenwhite.bsky.social “Imagine how annoying have to be for the crypto people to find you annoying” Pure gold!😀

If, say, George Soros took over a government department and set up camp with his underlings, there would be heaps of dead Republicans in the streets who had stroked out
