Today I was with about 20 others volunteers at my local nature center. Teenagers and adults. We spent 2.5 hours tearing out an outdoor exercise enclosure for turtles. Logs and rebar pulled of cold Maryland clay. The replacement will be installed next spring. Turtles will be so happy.
Everything is shitty, and will get worse..but life is in fact suffering. The sooner we accept that the sooner we're content with clarity about the path forward to fix whats broken.
I enjoyed a heartwarming evening with two old friends and felt how much joy this gives us. Est and discuss together. Laughed a lot, listened to each others sorrows and tried to find solutions, giving comfort to each other.

Even though I’m not a sports guy, it’s amazing that the new NYC stadium will be build surrounded by 2,900 new affordable homes as a required part of the project! Ain’t that cool!
My hubby had successful surgery. I’m pumped about that so I’m singing Christmas tunes as I decorate the tree. All is good in my world. Hope it is in yours?
The heat finally came back on in our building. After turning my iPad on and off after the last update I managed to skip the damn fingerprinting. Oh, and Putin is in deep 💩, domestically and internationally (Syria, Georgia )
I lost most family to a Conservative/fundamentalist cult (Jehovah's Witnesses) long ago, but those who escaped have drawn closer. Enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving night. I also enjoy frequent visits with a great group of friends, which I also never had growing up. Husband got a promotion too!
