Very clear committal language to significant investment in where NUFC play. Brad Miller takes room poll on stay at St James or move. Caveats move with short distance but significantly more seats and incremental big £ returns. Overwhelming majority go for move, surprisingly. Hmm. They’ve warmed this.

I'd be happy to see us move slightly to get a proper new stadium. The cost to enhance the current stadium would be ridiculous compared to the cost of moving slightly and building all brand new.

Not surprising at all. The mood in the #NUFC fan base has swung during last 12 months due to ticket availability, seeing team improvement stagnate, and other reasons. In case a switcheroo with Leazes can be managed keeping the club in the city centre, the support for a new SJP would be overwhelming.

Mitchell giving some good background to the Red Bull philosophy, which used to absolutely blow me away during IBWM 100 days. I’d genuinely say I’m no further forward on exactly what will happen. Best angle I’ve heard or read came from @tfmick1892.bsky.social this week. Highlighted the huge cost of pouring concrete into the Gallowgate area which would hoover up player buying cash and is something nobody would ever see. 🔥

Feel the same the big emphasis seemed to be on the extra seats and revenue a new ground would bring in and also felt they were hinting that a new ground would be at Leazes park or very close to the current site
