Could you have your best hitter just hit twice in a row? Say they strike out—-GOLDEN HITTER and they just stay at the plate.

Could they hit a bomb, trot the bases then immediately hit again? What a silly idea

I haven't read the article because it's all nonsense to me but what happens if someone gets a base hit and then they're called upon to be the golden hitter? Is there a golden runner? Can the golden hitter drive himself in with a base hit?
