Well now, that's simple a challenge to go urban until you're healed - there are peregrine falcons living on the cathedral in the city nearest me, how about you?
You’re super fortunate! I can drive around Tucson looking for raptors. But a better bet is my local park; I can sit and patiently wait for common desert birds 🙂
P.S. , frequent raids of your photo archives, for BlueSky because you're your own algorithm. Reposting is acceptable. Carry on - plus opportunities to learn new photo edit skills, refresh images!
Every December/January I suffer some sort of illness or injury that prevents me from going out when the weather here is most tolerable. This year it's a back strain but two years ago it was a broken big toe. Heal up, feel better, and you'll be back out before you know it.
Ouch! Also, I suggest maybe rather than dryer ball, it was a Gila monster and rather than a dark hallway, it was a starlit desert location... just spit ballin' here
Oh man, that really is the pits! Having been there & done that (trying to grab a cat before he barfed on my new carpet in the dark of night), I offer my sincere sympathy. Hope the local birds make themselves available to you in your time of need!

Then put your foot up and wait until everything has healed
(do hope you recover quickly - at least to walking cast)
I bet some tears welled up in your eyes when that happened. Ouch!
Get better soon. 🤞🏼
How did you do that?
Big toe is a fairly big bone....
In the meantime I’m really looking forward to hearing about what your neighbors are up to
Maybe it's time to watch it again.
It was the 4th toe from the biggie. 15 yrs ago-ish. #Photowalks !
