This is very good

I cannot describe how much I like this.

Finally folks, some good news 😁 www.statesman.com/story/news/s...

We already know Trump has “relocated” at least one US immigration detainee to Rwanda and paid the country $100k via a new diplomatic arrangement. He’s been eyeing minerals in Congo as a money-making proposition for a while. This brokered “peace” is for his own gain.

“In our fractious polity, fresh insults to constitutional norms and settled practices of governance occur daily. That is why the phrase constitutional crisis no longer describes our situation. The Constitution has failed, and we no longer know which institution will rescue it.”

This. The Republic is gone. There’s nothing to stop them, not least because they know there won’t be any more fair elections.

He is a fucking moron. Yeah, tommy, so you can use it to push your tyranny agenda.

So birthright citizenship is no longer guaranteed? A state has to sue in order for its citizens to be citizens?

Man, this is cool. I’ve long said that the best sources for constructimg a solid history of the early beer “revolution” are the regional and specialized publications like this one. They were very ephemeral, however, and they’d be hard to find. AB had many in its libraries.

Sentient Gelatin really seems to resonate with people. This might be the lovable nickname for our followers we've always wanted.

It would never happen and it too late anyway.

Peter Thiel wanted Trump to destroy government during his 1st term. He pushed Curtis Yarvin's ideas into the GOP mainstream. He created a politician named JD Vance. None of this comes up in the New York Times interview. Ross Douthat wastes opportunity ... like it's his job.

I have NO IDEA what this means.

A very cool thing about Kindle/e-readers I never see stressed is that they're fantastic for reading books in languages you're not 100% fluent in. You can just tap an unfamiliar word for the translation, making it totally feasible to tackle books that would otherwise be huge slog.

This is precisely why I’m not leaving the country anytime soon. I am this person.

Free, unsolicited advice for physics students: many things will go more smoothly for you if you can derive and explain the simple harmonic oscillator in your sleep

Jeez. This is from several days ago. People in power reallllly don’t like challenges to their power.

Gorgeous

Just blended Fuller's (Asahi) ESB with Dark Star (Fuller's) Hophead to great effect. Remarkably like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. What should we call this cocktail? ESH?

But *today* it ain’t easy

Direct File is the kind of forthright, straightforward, unapologetic make-government-work-for-you kitchen table pitch that Dems who are looking for national analogues to Mamdani's winning platform should be grasping with both hands.

No doubt susan is concerned.

Welcome to the public domain, GODS’ MAN (1929) by Lynd Ward. 🖋️📖 A haunting, wordless story told through woodcuts, this early graphic novel follows an artist’s Faustian bargain. Read it here ➡️ archive.org/details/gods... 🧵 #PublicDomain #PublicDomainDay #GraphicNovel #ArtLiterature

Now I’m both depressed and nauseous.

Also, thanks to bluesky, I knew about the bombing of Iran a good 20 minutes before any newspaper reported it.

i call it the mamdonna and i believe it is powerful enough to send at least half of the wall street journal's editorial board to the er

The oligarchs freaking out are a better endorsement of @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social than any actual endorsement

Oh, to be this optimistic in America in the summer of 2025.

Yikes….

Some 32-year old Jon Ossoff wannabe should shoot their shot in Maine in the Senate race. You’ll never get a better chance to become a Senator without much experience.

God lord!

What a shot!

Sweetie, I have zero fucks to give. Indeed, one might say I’m rather pleased to hear this.

Folks, we're seeing a repeat of the crowd size crisis in 2017. The crowd was small for his inauguration that year. So he sent his team out to lie about it. Same thing with the Iran bombing. It set Iran back a few months. Now he's sending his team out. Why? He's humiliated. See this THREAD.

In fact, I keep re-reading the first section because it’s staggering. We are truly screwed.

You should read just the first bit about the DOJ suit. The Republic is gone.

Beloit, WI revitalized its waterfront and chose this way to celebrate it: by bringing to life Georges Seurat's "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte."

I honestly don’t understand the loathing for centrists. I am a moderate pragmatist. Why am I so evil?

Unbelievable how a bully in power can eff up so many other lives. “If necessary, they will sow the tranquil forests of pine and birch along their borders with millions of landmines, a weapon previously considered so abhorrent that most of the world tried to ban it forever.” archive.ph/HF58p

This is a great story. One for,the beer historians.
