Don't think so. The market is changing. Wine drinkers are aging out. Young people are opting out for edibles or other substances. We need to drop the fanfare and pretense and make wine more fun, more approachable, and less intimidating. We also need to drive transparency around what is in the wine.

Yes I think it is clear that well-organized groups are mounting a campaign to make alcohol socially unacceptable, much like the efforts against tobacco. Unless the alcohol industries step up and get the messages about moderation and historical tradition out effectively, we'll see a steep decline.

The bigger issue IMO is that young people are distracted by other things (technology) and feel less need to drink for entertainment, which will of course lead to fewer adult drinkers.

Its as mistake to engage with the debate of whether alcohol is healthy or not - its a social and cultural phenomenon, a drug and also a wonderful accompaniment to food & community celebration. Jesus celebrated this with His first recorded miracle turning water into wine at a wedding feast!

tackling the reduction of trans fats, refined sugar and ultra processed food in average diets might be better than reducing intake of wine!
