German sociologist Max Weber argued that #bureaucracy constitutes the most #efficient and rational way in which human activity can be organized and that #systematic #processes and #organized hierarchies are necessary to maintain #order, maximize efficiency, and eliminate #favoritism.
Musk hates it
Bureaucracy:
'In the 1920s the German sociologist Max Weber expanded the definition to include any system of #administration conducted by #trained #professionals according to fixed rules. Weber saw bureaucracy as a relatively positive development'
If #Musk hates it how will he run #government?
#hierarchy (clearly defined spheres of competence and divisions of labor)
#continuity (long term staffing)
#impersonality (prescribed rules and operating rules, not arbitrary)
#expertise (officials are chosen according to merit, have been trained)
#Bureaucracy in #American political life might be replaced by #random #adhocracy, in which government management tends more to random #decentralization & madness.
#Government by #disruption is going to be quite interesting to watch. From afar.
The importance of #regulation in achieving value for money for citizens cannot be underestimated. The lack of #regulation in a sector can have severe ramifications. Regulation is a way of controlling #risk in a society. Deregulation can cause massive problems like the 2007-2008 banking crisis.
#Musk & deregulation?
#financial #deregulation came to a grinding halt following the #subprime #mortgage crisis of 2007 and the #financial #crash of 2007–2008. The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and #Consumer #Protection #Act of 2010, restricted subprime #mortgage lending and derivatives trading.
While off his tits on ketamine. Little does he know he is bot Trump's friend, but his bitch.
Trump has no friends, just fellow Mob members and hangers on
I understand he doesn't believe in democracy. But according to the book I'm reading -- Alt Reich by Nafeez Ahmed -- none of them do. It's like some sort of Year Zero.
Bit rich coming from a nonelected political cypher; soon to be co-minion, co-directing a newly minted department (which will be doing what exactly?) to bemoan bureaucracy.🙄
How long do you think the bromance will last? The limelight’s not big enough for alpha idiots.
Aristotle: Wherever men rule by reason of their wealth, whether they be few or many, that is an oligarchy, and where the poor rule, that is a democracy.
Unfortunately I think we have already peaked at the former.
Commies like Musk LOVE bureaucracy. They want us all poor and working in pointless unproductive jobs for the state. The Soviet Union tried it, it didn’t work. IT NEVER WILL.
Look, I find Musk as repulsive as anybody, but even I don't think he's Communist. He's an old-school 'privatise the profits, publicise the losses' capitalist. He wants people in shitty jobs with no protection in Tesla and Space X, not government!
Bureaucracy is a system of organization that uses rules and procedures to keep things running smoothly, often in large organizations with many people and departments
How's it going running 'Twitter' as a viable entity?
When they say 'bureaucracy', they mean law, don't they? A bit like what they mean when they say 'regulations' or 'red tape'. If it wasn't for pesky laws, democracy could really take off & we could just skip all those woke identity labels like 'elected'.
The easy fix to kneecap Elon Musk's political influence and eliminate his threats to fund primary challengers is repealing Citizen's United. Of course, Congress will never do this.
He isn’t even elected or potentially appointed to anything
Also good luck getting policies implemented by fiat and without people who sit at desks doing the paper pushing and writing policies and paying and organising people to do the stuff and so on and so on

Think we know whose freedoms he means.
It just increases his reach.
Each time it is seen it adds to the “nudge” his messages give to people.
I actually think he's more dangerous than Trump now....
