FB remains by far the most effective SM platform for eg my small AmDram groups to engage with the local community, & for keeping in touch with people I know IRL. & there's no equivalent on other platforms of the random "hobby" groups eg vintage postcards, choral evensong, I belong to there.

Best thing I ever did this year was deleting all meta apps from phone - stunned when found out how much info they actually hoover up. FB ironically forced me to close account due to all the constant irrelevant recommended pages to follow that it became unusable and not seeing stuff I chose to like.

Noticed I had some friend requests, one from an acquaintance who died five years ago!
