Many of them also make money from the same industries fueling the right (militarism, surveillance, oil and gas...) that there is no incentive for them to push back. Their stocks will still go up and they get to still claim they are the "good" ones.

This. If I’m going to be generous and take them at face value, old guard Dems are still right of center. They may not agree with reep batshittery, but the previous status quo was comfortable, lobbyists paid well, and the job was easy.
AOC, Warren, Sanders, et al have been an unwelcome disturbance.
what I am tired of is "Let him hang himself" which he will do but there needs to be a resistance. AOC and Pete are pushing back but where are others? More needs to be done. espeically since his approval is sinking fast
Yes, it is wonderful that many of the new Dems and political progressive leaders are not ones that come as much from big money but are ones who are personally affected by politics of the last 30yrs. AOC, Brandon Wolf, and so on. Impacted by economics, identity freedoms, etc.
Exactly that too. And often there is no personal incentive to work harder for the people other than to get reelected. D politicians benefit from the same two class/rule systems that Rs do. There is no urgency for them to pass Universal Healthcare or living wage when they aren’t dependent on it.
