The media wanted him to win because they get a lot of ratings reporting on how terrible he and his policies are. Constant scandals over and over again. Failures beyond belief. Lots of money for the media in a second Trump term. A Harris term would have been largely borning
If I knew this, just as a consumer of produce, surely a serious journalist could have found a story in it worth telling in advance. Maybe they got throttled by the bosses. Either way, this is not helping their usefulness re: informed citizens.

The difference is that many of us won’t be watching. Corporate media propped him up, sanewashed and covered for him, so we no longer trust them to present the news. We will not be back for the pontificating by non experts.
Fuckin preach. I've spoken with a journalist and plenty of friends who are leaving media. I used to think highly of NPR but this entire cycle, they caved. Treated this man with kid gloves
Seriously. I stopped listening leading up to the election. They were giving time to blatant lies without fact checking. Local news matters more at this point.
