We already have to drive an hour to get to a SSA office. I’ve also had an active SSDI application for 18 months. I’m 62. At this rate, I’ll be 67 or dead before it’s processed. If I lose ACA subsidies, I’ll just be dead. While we struggle to live on my husbands SS. 🤷

As a SSA employee, I can tell you that there is a great deal of uncertainty and fear. At the component I work at there were over a 100 fired. They've recently out an email offering early outs for those of us eligible. The deadline to take it is 3/12. OPM has also sent email re list of ee's for RIF.
