Had the same reaction when I started the manga 😅
Definitely felt slightly off-put with some of the stuff at the start but the journey is sooo worth it.
I'd seen so many articles about how popular it was, and heard all kinds of people talking about it, so I was expecting something... Much more restrained 💀
It's.. so very Anime. Nothing else could get away with that many tonal shifts and plot developments across 20 minutes.
the first ep is definetely... something. i was pretty hesitant about continuing, i decided to read the manga since that seems easier to read (idk if that makes sense) and i absolutely love the two MCs. their dynamic is awesome so i will tune into the anime now that i am prepared lol
