Shock, horror, so surprised etcIt was very well reported though. Read it earlier.
The consultation documents billed the measures *entirely* as a way of helping disabled people find work, amid shifts to home-working etc
Rishi Sunak applied pressure for the consultation to be rushed through so the predicted savings could be factored into the 2023 Autumn Statement:
“We would need to develop a strong evidence base for making any changes in order to establish a rationale beyond cost-savings.”
