Compare the infrastructure buildout, operating, maintenance, and per kwh generation costs of electron pipelines (HVDC) vs molecule (oil/gas) pipelines. Remember that you need to provide three times as much energy from molecules as from electrons, due to wasted heat. Electrons win hands down.

A national corridor that can handle HSR, new freight rail & accommodate a pipeline as a minimum MB to ONT makes sense to me.

Don’t have to build all the potential right away, but getting the land sooner is better.
