I've been reading the Looney Tunes comics from the 1940s, and while they're actually not that bad, their greatest sin is their depiction of Bugs Bunny.
Instead of a smart-aleck trickster, they make him a lazy, foolish, slightly stupid loser who's mocked and derided by his friends.
