TBH i think 80% of my sawfly obs were only ID'd to genus or family level by me, i did actually mis-ID that Euura fasciata lol

the leafmining one is pretty distinctive, and i'm not sure about the 2nd larva but once on iNat some people had it down to species quickly enough

Ahhh fair, so lucky lol

The D. abnormis isn’t a first but prob my luckiest species at under 20 observations, I correctly IDed it but only bc it’s the only member of its genus that eats Amelanchier supposedly

I've not seen any sawflies in years I wish they were more common here
Last sawfly I saw was a birch sawfly like 4 years ago
