I enjoyed this. Thank you. It is interesting, pay debt but at expense of services, provide services but at expense of debt. I think we need to ensure the services are there but interesting the comment on the GDP. Our 'boomers' (I am close at 52yrs) are aging, this will tax the healthcare more.
According to Statistics Canada's population projections, New Brunswick's population aged 60 and over is expected to be approximately 248,500 individuals by 2027, representing about 31.5% of the province's total population and 140,442 people over 70yrs. 17.8% Total population. 2/3
By comparison, the year 2000, approximately 71,915 people in New Brunswick were over the age of 70, making up about 9.5% of the total population, and 153,671 or 20.3% of the pop over 60yrs. In 2022 we allocated about 15% of our GDP to health care v 2000
