does anyone have any suggestions for something portable yet tasty to take on mardi gras day? ideal would be something that doesn’t need reheating because oven space is limited i’ve done sausage balls in previous years but idk if i'm feeling like dealing with them this year. - ThreadSky

it’s the whole cooking them at 4am part (or attempting to parbake them the night before) that i’m not feeling. maybe i’ll make brownies from a mix

Pigs in blankets. Get the frozen Hebrew National ones, cook them while you’re getting ready, and pair them with a moderately priced mustard.

No one cares if those are room temp, you’ll absolutely bring home an empty tray.

Are you going to have an insulated container, like a small ice chest? You can store whatever you prepare and it would keep warm for most of the time.

Or even put some hot water in the chest and then the food in Ziploc bags to keep them watertight, kinda the reverse thing for cold items.
