Thanks! I don’t know what I’m doing next— I was offered a choice between a severance package and a significant cut in salary that I couldn’t justify taking. But I’m looking forward to trying something new!

You mentioned Snuffy Smith in the interview, and I remembered a discovery I made on Comics Kingdom: I wanted to get a feel for Snuffy from the De Beck era, and was astonished to see that sometime in the mid-late 1930s, Lowizie (as she was spelled then) had a baby boy!

As I recall, he didn’t have a name, and he was only in the strip for a year before just disappearing without a trace, but I was sad that Fred Lasswell is no longer around to ask about this proto-Tater. The strip had continuity and much more action then, which may have been a factor…
