But anyway, in these idiotic times, they are going to say the same. I think that many people don't wake up until they have a scare and the neuron in their brain is already activated.
In the short term, if Ukraine needs something soon and our arms industry cant make it that quickly, it is wayyy easier to just pay the USA in cash for some equipment
And this is just a short-term solution until the war ends and/or until the EU arms industry catches up with the demand.
And I care a lot more about the results (in this case, Ukraine wrecking more of the Russian military and having a strong begotiating position for any peace talks) than about some extra expenses.
As for selling weapons, yeah, I guess exploiting his greed is one of very few ways to deal with him but nevertheless it's a bleak way forward
