A little silly. He was traveling from Oklahoma to Texas to visit Robert E. Howard in '34, and as he drove across the state line his new wife was lighting his cigar & he got pulled over by a posse that thought it was Bonnie & Clyde. We only have Price's word for it, but date &place make it plausible.
