Is there an open source software maintainer in your life? Are you one?
GitHub has a private community you can apply for at https://maintainers.github.com!
Folks discuss common problems/solutions, there’s a direct line to GitHub product & betas, and I post funding opportunities.
Spread the word please :)

Others like GitLab copied it, but since most of the world uses GH it makes sense to use the gold standard, IMO.
What is the best way to become a maintainer? Just have an insane understanding of an open source tool/software, to the point where you could fix bugs, implement upgrades, etc?
Like data stewards, but for open source softwares/tools?
While you build projects/apps/whatever, sometimes you’ll find “gaps”. Basically a feature or library you simply can’t find, or don’t like the available options.
So you build it yourself.
If you think others might want it too, consider packaging/publishing it for the world!
Now I’m at around 20M+ downloads a year.
A quick warning tho, employers like this early on because it shows initiative, but eventually it’s a red flag to them as they tend to want someone less… “divided” in their focus.
The price we pay I guess!
Thanks for the chat!
Here’s what I found. DeepDiff is amazing on a small level.
