I'm surprised because Jared Kushner owns telehealth businesses as well as Dr. Phil -- isn't everything about the rich keeping the things that make them money? Or, is it taking away from the people who need it the most to make them weaker?
No it won't make people healthier, but it is a way to deny people the care they need. There are many people for whom it is a hardhip to travel and others who SHOULD NOT travel to a physican's office. That is where many sick people are gathered in a small room before they even get any treatment.
My niece is a neurologist. Her practice/hospital partner with rural hosp ERs to quickly diagnose and treat strokes via telehealth. Most rural areas otherwise don't have immediate access to neuro, cardiovascular, other specialty care. "Time is brain/muscle..." These rural areas likely voted for this..
Can you say “Eugenics “? That’s what you’re looking at. The most vulnerable will be allowed to pass away, thus “improving“ the gene pool. A Nazi technique. That’s why the vaccinations are going away and the health sites that warn us of diseases. Horrific.
We have good data showing treatment with telemedicine is as good as in person care for many things, and for some things, better than in person care. And TM care is often less expensive. Why take a step backward, except just to reverse things to pre-COVID for the sake of reversal? It’s dumb
I wish it was about making people healthy and not just about being as vindictive and against anything Biden or another democrat put in place. 47 is a whiny loser and it’s made more evident each day.
I was a homecare nurse before telemedicine and I remember sending patients to doctors appointments via ambulance. Medicare deemed these people homebound because getting them to a doctor was “taxing and considerable effort.” Imagine the effort saved???
It's also incredibly cheap! Requires little in the way of staffing or overhead for doctor, and no transportation costs for patients. Cost efficient and effective.
I'm surprised to read people in rural areas are able to do virtual. There are a lot of dead zones in rural areas. I'm lucky to have cell service. Some people on my road don't. Streaming is a joke.
You missed working single parent households, people working 2+ jobs, people lacking transportation (ever tried to find a bus stop in Houston? Good luck.) people with crippling social anxiety, etc
I guess they don’t realize how hard it is for people to see doctors in person. Primary care doctors are overburdened and it can take months to get an appointment. People will die and get sicker without telemedicine because we don’t have room in urgent care either
