John's great, but a lot of people were involved with Emeryville's recent citywide speed limit surveys & reductions, as well as in passing Asm Friedman's AB43 in 2021 which enabled the limit reductions.

It took the*bike mayor* AND a movement (thanks to you and others) to turn the tide such that this was even possible. I'm thrilled that he's now to be one of your supervisors. Leading by example. Hope to see many more like him throughout California.

The county supervisor race isn’t called yet BTW. There are only about 100 votes between the candidates w more to be counted. Thankfully they are both very bike-friendly so I’m happy to work with whoever wins.

Oh man. He was way ahead the last time I looked. That was quite a wet blanket, Robert. Damn. You can work with whoever you need to, but the fact remains that John is the vastly better candidate for bike advocates. You have skin in the local game so I understand biting your tongue.

I’m not biting my tongue, I honestly like and appreciate working with both candidates. Again, Bauters is great but Bas is also a major champion. There are many such under-appreciated electeds.
