I now believe that trump isn't ashsmed of or embarrassed by all the times he went bankrupt - he didn't intend to make a profit; he was just laundering money for the Russians or the Saudis or ghe Chinese or a criminal enterprise of some sort.

Yes, they don't care if it makes money and use it as a propoganda machine, but Elmo didn't buy it specifically so he can do that.
People seem to forget that he was literally forced to buy it after signing a deal as a joke and then trying his hardest to back out of it.
