I got the Legion Go a few months ago and it has been great. Maybe check that out? There is a v2 coming later this year.

oh yeah, I’ve looked at them — I prefer my Steam Deck for a value prop but the exciting thing to me about an “official” Xbox handheld is maybe they’ll finally make a UI for Windows that isn’t terrible on handhelds. Ideally with Steam support too (even if it has to be as a hack)

So you've probably already heard of Playnite? Pulls in all of your games from pretty much every source and drops them in a single dashboard with a bunch of user generated themes, including Xbox ones.

yeah, I haven’t used it on a handheld but it’s very, very good. But the Windows and Xbox teams know that the handheld experience is total trash right now in a lot of ways so I’m hoping they can fill in the gaps for stuff unified launchers can’t fix

Yeah and sometimes Windows is preferable for certain games and also if you want to do Game Pass and proper cloud gaming.

Exactly!! Dual boot is possible on steam deck but it’s a PITA so a native game pass box would be awesome.
