Just the tail of one, darting into the woods as I was driving home a few weeks ago! But the snow does make it easier to see them in general, the orange shows up well against the white.
Why skunk? I mean, I remember you mentioning in the other place that you used to be a malamute, but what specifically made you become a skunk later on?
Number of factors: Malamute didn't fit me as well; too big! But mostly due to skunks being misunderstood & stigmatized. There was a liberating aspect to choosing to be an animal people made fun of, as if in so doing, they could no longer get to you that way.
Oh, and wow... that last one is actually a very interesting, and clever, reason! I don't think I've heard of that one before besides the usual skunks being misunderstood aspect, to which I relate! Wooo skunks! 💚
It reminds me a bit of something like in a John Waters film, where a couple sets out to be the most disgusting people ever. So even if you told them, "You're SO disgusting!", they'd only take it as a compliment :P
oooooh, I'd be crabby for sure. I'd see an allergist and order a suit and some stuff made from silicon and stretch pvc, while I waited to see if the allergy could be treated somehow.
...and I'd zip a certain blue and green fur into the latex fox suit, for good measure! :P

And the scent and stripes, of course!
