Now Trump admin has filed a declaration in the State AGs case before Judge Chutkin, stating that "Musk is an employee of the White House Office," is an SGE and an advisor to Trump who has "no actual or formal authority to make government decisions himself."

Clearly what admin is trying to do--like they did with EOs!--is to say there is nothing to litigate against Musk because he has no power.

So they are trying to say that Musk neither has any power or authority to actual do anything other than communicate Trump's "directives" and that he's not part of DOGE, and so if he's not part of DOGE, the govt appears to be arguing, and has no power, the court can't enjoin his activities.

Trump's DOJ is stalling for time by inventing excuses for ignoring court orders to unfreeze accounts and un-fire government employees.

We are on a clock. When Trump takes over the Pentagon it's very difficult to bring back democracy.
