Columbia Univ. does not have an endowment like Harvard & they don’t have the ability to instantaneously raise $ like Harvard or Princeton. Simply, the gov does not have ANY right to change academia, classes, education or research projects, using the US tax $ given to our universities as blackmail
Oh give me a break.
Columbia is an Ivy w/ an endowment of nearly $15B. Plus, cuts to its funding don’t affect the 5 major hospitals in NYC as is happening in Boston.
When Harvard stood up, donations poured in. Columbia could’ve done the same but they are cowards who had less to lose.
Columbia's admin recovered from the shock of the unexpected attack from the Little Biglies, took a good hard look at what they'd agreed to, glanced over at Harvard, said, "Yeah, this shit ain't gonna fly!" and took back their agreement to knuckle under.
I think Columbia was in shock too- plus Harvard has a larger endowment and higher status. Trump picked on Columbia first for a reason. I knew they would get it together eventually.
It is still not too late to redeem. Lessons have to be learnt that education and educational institutions should be bereft of political, religious, monetary, racial influences. These are there to educate, enhance critical thinking, scientific discoveries, innovations etc not swayed by whims of some
No one should attend Columbia for the foreseeable future. They did not have students well being and their educational rights inn mind. It was all about preserving the Benjamins.

You feel better now? Or you miss your target?

I feel they will never get back their status since they vent at the knee and kissed trumps ass
Someone needs to come up with a gift for that
But where are the faculty and alumni speaking out?
