I can attest to the low payouts. I wrote for ScreenRant's gaming division and it was $10 for about 2 1/2 hours worth of researching, writing, fact checking, editing, creating a thumbnail then make sure it uses "SEO best practices" that are always changing.

It's a shit show.

Not surprised by this at ALL. I worked for a Valnet site for a while and they were the most disorganized and slapdash outlet I've seen in a while. Just total churn with no guidance or oversight, constantly changing priorities, and ridiculously low rates.
