as someone in the epicenter of the fires, i appreciate that Jo Lauder is actually calling this for what it is as our local media is doing some major gymnastics to avoid discussing that this is climate change.

Will also impact us - we have historically relied on their aerial firefighting fleet & crews to be available during their 'off' season (and vice versa).
Now nobody has an off season.

Far more insidious than climate deniers are the officials who did nothing to mitigate potential fires. Brush cutting, tree clearing, controlled burns. Other states do them, why doesn't California?
