I guess it’s also supposed to “justify” the application of the Alien Enemies Act/further Martial Law stuff in the interior.

The regime’s line has always been that the “invasion” of migrants actually means the country is already at war, and declaring fentanyl as the WMD used by the “invaders” fits.

I felt like I was very clear-eyed on what Trump 2.0 would be. But I vastly underestimated their imperialism. I was mostly concerned with domestic policy, not with invading countries.
