That’s honestly what I hate about most of them, and I say this as a R&S fan myself. And on another perspective, they do realize that 'weird/wacky/over the top animation' isn’t exclusive to Ren and Stimpy, right? Even prior to its prominent influence, it’s been a trope for cartoons historically…

…sure, I can see the connections if referred to more 'crass' and 'edgier' cartoons, more on those tropes that defined Ren & Stimpy if you get it, but come on, not EVERY cartoon that's 'off the wall' or 'wacky' these days are influenced by that show. They do have their own respective identities, too.
